Biography
Himaja Bhatt represents technology clients in complex intellectual property litigation and international arbitration, with a focus on patent infringement, trade secret, licensing, FRAND, and other high-stakes commercial disputes. Her experience includes drafting dispositive and procedural briefs, managing fact and expert discovery, preparing witnesses, defending depositions, and representing clients in court hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.
Himaja has represented clients in federal district courts in California, Texas, and Delaware; before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board; and in international arbitral proceedings before tribunals including the ICC, SIAC and ICDR. Her representative matters include representing a mobile device manufacturer in an ICC arbitration concerning FRAND valuation for a cross-license of standard-essential patent portfolios covering multiple cellular standards, including 5G; representing a semiconductor company in a competitor-on-competitor patent infringement matter in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware involving USB and semiconductor technology; and representing a semiconductor company in an ICDR arbitration involving trade secret and patent claims related to fabrication technology, which resulted in a favorable settlement for the client.
