Kelly Matayoshi Appointed to San Francisco Superior Court Elimination of Bias Committee

Farella Braun + Martel is proud to announce that partner Kelly Matayoshi has been appointed to serve on the newly formed San Francisco Superior Court Committee on the Elimination of Bias. Kelly is one of four non-judicial members selected for the Committee.

The Bar Association of San Francisco consulted with the Presiding Judge and Executive Committee of the San Francisco Superior Court (SFSC) to form the local SFSC Committee on the Elimination of Bias to assist judicial officers, attorneys, and courtroom staff in maintaining a courtroom environment free of bias or the appearance of bias.

Kelly represents a broad range of local and international companies with complex contract disputes, products liability claims, and subrogation defense. She has extensive experience defending clients in the consumer products space. She also represents employers on a range of causes of action, including wrongful termination and class action wage and hour disputes. She is the immediate past president of both the Barristers Club of the Bar Association of San Francisco and the UC Hastings Board of Governors. She serves on the advisory board for the UC Hastings Center for Litigation and Courts and on the board of directors of the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area. She the former co-chair of the ABA Section of Litigation’s Labor & Employment Committee. Kelly received her J.D., magna cum laude, from UC Hastings Law in 2012.
