Farella Braun + Martel Names Eugene Mar Partner

SAN FRANCISCO, January 3, 2011 - Farella Braun + Martel LLP has elevated intellectual property litigator Eugene Y. Mar to partner.

Mar maintains an intellectual property litigation practice, with a particular focus on patent litigation.  He has represented clients in patent, copyright, trademark and trade dress disputes in the fields of computer software, microprocessor architecture, drug-eluting stents, capillary electrophoresis, chromatography, computer network storage, DVD encoding and encryption, the use of haptics in video game consoles and controllers, prepaid cards, payment card encryption and security, online downloadable media and replaceable refrigerator water filters.  He earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School (2003), where he served as articles editor for the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology, and his B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley (2000).
