According to the publication, achieving a tiered Best Law Firms ranking signals a unique combination of quality law practice and breadth of legal expertise. The rankings are based on client/professional reference feedback, firmographic information provided by firms, industry leader interviews, and feedback collected on individual lawyers through the Best Lawyers research process.

To be eligible for a ranking, a firm must have at least one lawyer listed in the current edition of The Best Lawyers in America®. Firms are eligible in the practice area(s) and metro region(s) with individual recognitions. Forty-six Farella lawyers are recognized in The Best Lawyers in America 2024. Additionally, ten lawyers were named inBest Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America, recognizing the exceptional careers of lawyers rising up in the legal profession, and two Farella lawyers received “Lawyer of the Year” awards in the San Francisco Metropolitan region: Amy Briggs (Litigation-Insurance) and Douglas Young (Litigation-Securities). Only one attorney in each practice area and designated metropolitan area is honored as the “Lawyer of the Year.” Click here to view all of Farella’s Best Lawyers and Ones to Watch.
