Farella Names Carolina de Armas and Hilary Krase As Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Pathfinders

April 10, 2023 Announcement

Farella Braun + Martel is proud to announce that senior associates  Carolina de Armas and Hilary Krase have been named Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Pathfinders for 2023.

Pathfinders have been identified as diverse, early-career emerging leaders who have distinguished themselves within their organizations. Over the course of seven months, the Pathfinder program is designed to train high-performing lawyers who are early in their careers on foundational leadership and relationship-building skills.

Carolina works with Farella’s renewable energy, wine, and cannabis clients on a broad range of transactional matters. From mergers and acquisitions to day-to-day business management, including corporate governance, commercial contracts, and equity financings, she helps large and small clients navigate a strategic course efficiently, maximizing opportunity while managing risk. Carolina co-chairs Farella’s Renewable Energy Group, the Women’s Leadership Committee, and the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion + Belonging Committee. She earned her J.D. from Stanford Law School (2016).

Hilary is a skilled litigator with trial and appellate experience. She represents clients in a wide range of complex litigation, including antitrust, healthcare, shareholder and intra-company disputes, consumer goods, and intellectual property matters. She also represents clients in white-collar defense and internal corporate investigations. Hilary was a law clerk for the Honorable Jesus G. Bernal of the Central District of California. She co-chairs Farella’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion + Belonging Committee. Hilary earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (2017).

Farella is an active member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity—an organization of more than 400 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who have pledged themselves, through its Leaders at the Front initiative and other means, to creating a truly diverse U.S. legal profession.
