Alex Reese spoke at Stanford Law School's panel "Antitrust and Big Tech."

This panel moderated by Stanford Professor Doug Melamed focused on whether antitrust tools are effective to regulate or break up large technology companies. Topics discussed include the ongoing FTC v. Facebook / Meta lawsuit attempting to force Instagram and What’sApp to split from Meta; ongoing app developer and consumer class actions against Google and Apple alleging improper App Store and platform abuse; Epic Games v. Apple and whether state law unfair competition claims are more effective remedies against large tech companies; and pending antitrust legislation before Congress and efforts by ne-Brandeis movement to change antitrust theory.
