Session Overview: 

This session will take a deep dive into sophisticated estate planning and wealth preservation techniques for both collectors of fine wine and spirits as well as winery and vineyard owners. From estate plan development, business planning, estate and trust administration, we will look at a wide range of tax and succession issues and discuss how to leverage these techniques to achieve client objectives. When are collections of wine and spirits considered "collectibles" and what are the factors that determine value? We will discuss best practices of how clients and family offices can holistically plan for and manage the unique factors which face this asset class such as storage, insurance, record keeping and clear stewardship in order to maintain value and family harmony.
