Farella Braun + Martel is proud to announce that co-managing partners Karen Kimmey and Holly Sutton were recognized in the Daily Journal’s inaugural “Law Firm Leaders” feature, recognizing visionary leadership.

The Daily Journal honored four managing partners leading firms across four sizes: fewer than 25 attorneys, 25 to 50 attorneys, 50 to 100 attorneys, and 100 to 200 attorneys. Karen and Holly were featured for leading a firm within the 100+ attorney range. They assumed their roles as co-managing partners in January 2025 and are credited with providing a smooth, stable transition in leadership during a year marked by challenging market and political dynamics. The stable platform has allowed the firm to thrive and have a great financial year. Within weeks after assuming their new roles, law firm leaders were navigating hard decisions as the administration issued a series of orders challenging some core legal principles that underpin this country. Under their leadership, the firm has demonstrated publicly and through pro bono work its commitment to fight to defend the rule of law, the right of everyone to legal representation, and the democratic system.
